New chapter for Pirtek Geraldton

Long-time Geraldton residents Adam and Chantel Van Aswegen are the new owners of Pirtek Geraldton, bringing 20 years of experience in agricultural equipment sales and service to the business.

They take the reins from Shane and Nikki McDonnell, who established Pirtek Geraldton on September 1, 2010, after building a strong foundation within the Pirtek network.

Shane began his Pirtek career as a Mobile Sales Technician (MST) at Pirtek Hendra, where he spent three years before helping establish the greenfield site at Pirtek Strathpine. Working in both management and hands-on roles, he developed extensive operational experience before relocating with Nikki to Geraldton to establish the local business.

Pirtek acknowledges Shane and Nikki's contribution to the Geraldton community and thanks them for their commitment to the network. Adam and Chantel now look forward to building on those foundations and continuing to support customers across the region.

Pirtek Pakenham opens its doors

In Victoria, Ryan Thomas and Leigh Stirkul have officially opened the network's newest Service and Supply Centre at Pirtek Pakenham, expanding the former Cardinia mobile-only operation into a dedicated service location.

Ryan and Leigh are established operators within the network, already overseeing Pirtek Springvale and Pirtek Dandenong. The addition of Pakenham marks another step in the growth of their portfolio and strengthens Pirtek's service offering across the region.

The new centre will provide customers with greater access to Pirtek's hydraulic and fluid transfer solutions, backed by the experience of an established team.

New ownership at Pirtek Port Hedland

Further west, Jason Smith and his wife Rachel have joined forces with Scott Bennett and his partner Taylor Frendo as the new owners of Pirtek Port Hedland.

Both partnerships bring extensive experience within the Pirtek network. Jason and Rachel have owned Pirtek Canningvale since 2021, while Scott and Taylor established Pirtek Tom Price in 2022 before acquiring Pirtek Karratha in 2024.

Together, the new ownership group brings valuable knowledge across the construction, rail, mining and offshore oil and gas industries, positioning the business to continue supporting customers across the Pilbara.

Pirtek also recognises the existing Port Hedland team for maintaining exceptional service to the local community throughout the transition.

These changes reflect the strength of the Pirtek network, with experienced operators continuing to invest in their businesses, expand their capabilities and support customers across Australia.
